You’ve come to the Gold Coast for sun, sand and surf, so it’s now time to hit the beach. Head for the Hinterland

A little over 30 minutes from Xanadu Main Beach accommodation, you can immerse yourself in lush, tropical Queensland Hinterland. Cool down after your morning in the sun with a wander along Mount Tamborine’s Rainforest Skywalk for the ultimate family-friendly hinterland experience. For something truly unique, take a late afternoon tour and meet some truly unique hinterland residents! Australia’s largest population of Glow Worms inhabit Natural Arch and into the evening, these illuminated critters resemble a magnificent starry sky.

Casual, coastal dinner

For an authentic Gold Coast dining experience and an endless smorgasbord of cuisines, we suggest you try and head to Miami Marketta. Every Friday and Saturday night, this popular hotspot turns on street food, live music, boutique wine and craft beer in an electric environment.

Day two

Whether you love the thrill of a roller coaster, the entertainment of a full-scale production or an up-close and personal experience with a rare animal, there is something for every member of the family and every level of confidence.

Synonymous with high-energy action, Dreamworld has plenty on offer for every member of a thrill-seeking family. Firm favourites include the Giant Drop and the Tower of Terror, while Wiggles World and Madagascar Madness are perfect for littlies. The park also includes entry to White Water World in your ticket price, so you can cool down toward the end of your day.

Movie World is home to big-screen heroes including Superman, Green Lantern, Looney Tunes any many more. All of the rides, shows and street performances are led or inspired by entertainment favourites, so be sure to pack you camera and snap a photo with a star! When the temperature is soaring, head to Wet’n’Wild for a dose of high-adrenaline in the water. This park boasts thrill waterslides, vertical drops, Super 8 slides and much, much more.

Dress up and dine out

After a day of action, your stomach is sure to be rumbling.

We highly recommend you take the opportunity to dine out at any of Tedder Avenue’s chic restaurants, located within easy walking distance of your Xanadu Main Beach Resort accommodation. Tedder Avenue is home to countless culinary treats, from Italian to Thai, Spanish to French cuisine. We particularly like Bistro Chico, where the cocktails are equally as delicious as the creative fare, and Le Jardin Café for French flavours and delicious desserts.
